On-snow review

Known for years. Respected for years. You do not change a good design – you merely refine it slightly. They took first place on points and drew plenty of praise. Comments included: “Similar to the Salomons, but perhaps just a fraction better. Very stable. Excellent edge grip and outstanding energy return. Extremely effective in the gates. Quick from turn to turn. Ruts do not trouble them. In free skiing, they offer only long turns at high speed. At lower speeds, a light skier will struggle to bend them. Skis for true racers.” Another tester wrote: “One of the two best skis in the group for me. Very stable, yet agile, easy to turn and dynamic. Pleasant to steer. They were excellent on the GS course. I could also release them from the turn and alter the radius without any problem. Wonderful skis!” We also heard: “Skis built precisely for this category. Confidence-inspiring, stable and dynamic. They change direction very pleasantly and move quickly from edge to edge, with a lively response. They hold the edge throughout the entire arc.” This was followed by: “An optimal design for a Masters racer. Supple and easy to bring into the turn. They track smoothly and harmoniously through the arc.”

Tester’s take
“In this group, it is difficult to say anything truly original, but it is worth defining the expectations. You want good turn initiation, stability through the arc and the freedom to improvise with turn radius. Here, you get the full package. Own a pair and you have a perfectly calibrated sniper rifle aimed squarely at the gates. Get them!”
