On-snow review

These skis are well known to our female testers from previous editions. For this season they received new, stiffer plates, improving their effectiveness but increasing their weight. Several women considered them the best in the group; several others found them too heavy and demanding for a women’s model. Comments included: “Highly versatile across different turn lengths. Good edge grip and smooth tracking. Ideal for intermediate women. Among the best in the group.” Another tester wrote: “Turny skis with rapid reactions. Excellent in carved arcs. At higher speeds they remain stable. A model for women who already ski on edge and want to progress – these skis will allow and support that development.” We also heard: “Dependable skis, as they are every year. Ideal on hard pistes. You can cruise gently from side to side or ski them dynamically. Very stable, although they require some strength.” This was followed by: “They hold long arcs well and are slightly more reluctant in short turns. On a smooth piste, even a steep one, their grip is excellent. They damp vibration exceptionally well and pass easily over uneven terrain. Very stable, although moving from edge to edge requires attention. They go where I want, not where they happen to prefer. Skis with real potential for progression.” Another comment read: “Heavy and stable. I feel secure on them. They track carved arcs with confidence. Not especially turny, but I enjoyed them. They require effort.”

Tester’s take
“Skiing these is a great pleasure. Even in more difficult conditions, you can put them confidently on edge and simply flow. Dynamic. Excellent for a beginner who is still skidding her turns, but equally suitable for continuing to learn and improve. They initiate carved arcs quickly.”
