On-snow review

A new and powerful ski from Dynamic. Like the brand’s other models, it has a strongly sporting personality, which naturally delighted some testers and appealed less to others. For many, it behaved like an exceptionally wide GS ski. Demanding and beautiful. Comments included: “Powerful, dynamic, wide machines that cut across every piste without compromise – from icy morning corduroy to an afternoon surface that has been thoroughly chopped up. They demand a strong pilot who will drive them like a fast, spirited stallion. They belong more naturally in the VIP category.” Another tester wrote: “All-mountain GS skis! They roll eagerly onto edge and release it just as willingly when required. They invite you dynamically into the next arc. Outstandingly piste-focused all-mountain skis.” We also heard: “Definitely for the piste. They are fairly stiff but provide good snow feel. Properly bending them takes strength. Medium and long arcs suit them best. They are dynamic, but only once you are travelling quickly. Excellent for very good, heavier skiers. Despite the stiffness, they manage tolerably well off piste.” This was followed by: “Wide rockets for piste skiing. They grip like hell and slice through snow like a blade. Secure, stable and dynamic. They demand active skiing and respond to strength. Superb skis, unquestionably among the leaders of the group. Piste all-mountain.” Other voices said: “No tip rocker. Skis for groomed pistes with no real off-piste usefulness.” And: “The absence of tip rocker means you have to move strongly into the back seat in soft snow. On the other hand, it keeps almost the entire ski glued to a hard piste. Good in short turns.”

Tester’s take
“Among the most enjoyable skis in the group. To me, they behave more like soft amateur GS skis. They track beautifully on edge and flow rapidly into the next arc. You could ski them all day.”
