On-snow review
Another women’s ski based on slalom geometry, this time using lighter woods and thinner aluminium layers. These divided our testers: some considered them the most enjoyable in the group, while others pointed out weaknesses. Comments included: “Light, springy and stable. Enjoyable in carved arcs, but you can also ski an entire run in short turns while holding the chosen rhythm. Very pleasant. An ideal one-ski solution for intermediate women.” Another tester wrote: “Good, competent skis for the whole day. Ideal for women who already feel secure, can ski parallel turns and are learning to use the edges. They do need some pressure; then they enter the turn easily and grip well. Good in both short and longer arcs. No fireworks, but no flaws either.” We also heard: “Dynamic when moving from turn to turn, at times almost excessively so. They provide good support on edge, even on a slightly uneven piste. At high speed they are no longer quite as confidence-inspiring. Light.” This was followed by: “Enjoyable and dynamic. Skis for beginners as well as technically advanced women. Excellent from edge to edge.” Finally: “Difficult skis. They make round arcs, and good skiers will also manage them in short turns. Stiff and in need of pressure, but fairly versatile.”
“They love being on edge. Excellent skis – stiff enough to feel dynamic, yet supple enough not to require a fight. Superb for women whose priority is carving. My favourites.”
