On-snow review

Completely new Fischer skis, both in construction and geometry. Even the designation is new. What remains is an unusually narrow waist for a consumer ski and that furious yellow-green colour. The model provoked mixed reactions. Comments included: “Excellent! Extremely quick from edge to edge. They require relatively little energy to shorten the turn and remain secure and stable even on a worn-out piste.” Another tester wrote: “A great deal of pleasure. Precise in the gates and comparatively easy even in difficult conditions – bumps and soft snow.” We also heard: “Easy skis, which does not mean they lack potential. Turn initiation is intuitive – place them on edge and off they go. They track the arc securely, while changes of radius and rhythm are easy and free from snatching. Need an all-day slalom ski? You have found it: they will not exhaust you and will still deliver plenty of fun.” This was followed by: “Successful slalom skis. Good edge grip and appropriate stiffness. You do not need great strength to use their potential. If required, they can handle the gates, although do not expect exceptional rebound in race-style skiing.” From the other camp came: “They do not disappoint, but neither do they delight. All the parameters are present, yet they lack finesse and flair.” And: “Effortless when you want to ski medium turns down the piste. They make slalom turns competently, but lack energy. Intuitive and suitable for beginners entering race-style skiing because the adaptation period is short. Not my type, but reasonably enjoyable.”

Tester’s take
“In my view, these are complete skis. Whatever you think of happens – and, most importantly, without delay. Quick, precise and dynamic, with smoothness throughout the entire turn and superb grip on hard snow.”
