On-snow review

Versatile skis that we first encountered last season. They performed very creditably in our test and earned favourable comments. Most testers described them as friendly – a quality that matters enormously to many skiers. Comments included: “Highly versatile and eager to cooperate. They carry out every instruction at least well, while short turns are decidedly above average. They inspire confidence on steeper pistes, so better skiers will enjoy them too.” Another tester wrote: “A very typical representative of the category. The well-judged geometry works beyond perfectly groomed pistes. In the hand, the construction feels more delicate than it really is, and stability in broad arcs does not suffer. Short turns can be linked with dynamic transitions. Only when crossing irregular terrain at high speed do you notice the skis’ low weight. Skidded turns and short turns are smooth. I would avoid high-speed straight-lining.” We also heard: “A slalom–All-Round hybrid. Enjoyable skis to play with. More at home on hard pistes, although they cope well in poorer conditions too. Interesting, pleasant, all-day skis.” This was followed by: “Completely effortless and versatile on groomed pistes. Highly turny and comfortable. Unfortunately, not for very high speeds because they begin to wander dangerously. Almost anyone can manage them, although experts may want something stiffer.”

Tester’s take
“Excellent, stable skis. They grip extremely well and track carved arcs smoothly. Comfort is high, steering easy and turn initiation very good. They deliver a tremendous amount of pleasure.”
