On-snow review

We already knew these from last year, although they remain relatively new to the market in only their second season. They made a very strong impression and finished just off the points podium. Almost every test card was positive, and we shall simply ignore the handful of grumblers. Comments included: “Excellent, secure and stable. Among the best in the group. They can handle both hard and chopped-up pistes. More piste-oriented, but they will venture into the terrain beneath the lift too. Definitely for skiers with a more sporting mindset.” Another tester wrote: “A highly successful model that combines rebound, stability and light steering in every kind of snow. It could be the one and only pair for a great many skiers.” We also heard: “These skis delighted me. They look serious, but within a few turns prove how versatile the construction is. They track broad arcs superbly and tighten them with ease. Everything works and requires remarkably little effort. For skis of this width, even the rebound is quite good. Fifteen centimetres of fresh snow or a chopped-up piste will not trouble them, and lighter skiers can confidently take them off piste.” This was followed by: “Wider piste skis, but undeniably successful. Stable and comfortable, they simply cut through irregularities. They track the arc neatly and securely while remaining dynamic. Very good skis.”

Tester’s take
“I am amazed that skis this wide – and several others in the group – can hold an edge so well on hard snow while retaining rebound and exceptional comfort. They inspire complete confidence regardless of the gradient. You can make short-radius turns on them almost like slalom skis. Congratulations, Fischer.”
