On-snow review

Well-known and highly regarded skis. The PRO designation indicates a race plate and bindings; otherwise, the construction is identical to the model without PRO in its name. And then there is that magnificent colour… They made an excellent impression and won considerable favour, although there were a few critical voices. Comments included: “Their sporting character sets them apart. The faster and harder you load them, the sooner they return the energy. There is a turbocharged effect, especially just before the turn is completed – they finish at full throttle. For powerful skiers with excellent technique who can exploit their potential one hundred per cent.” Another tester wrote: “Spectacular skis! Very good slalom skis – an absolute delight. They flow over the snow and are pure pleasure to ride. Excellent for race-style skiing in the gates. Head has done a fine job here.” We also heard: “Very pleasant slalom skis that distinguish themselves positively in this group. Competent in the gates, with secure tracking and good grip.” This was followed by: “Great fun in short turns, with genuine potential in the gates. Rebound and stability. They move calmly and without nervousness into the next arc. Interesting skis and easy to recommend.” Finally: “Predictability is their guiding principle. They fit the slalom canon perfectly and demand virtually no adaptation period.”

Tester’s take
“Very good skis. You feel the rebound in every turn. They release nicely and provide considerable satisfaction. Smoothness and stability are at an excellent level, and the edges grip superbly. Only the transition from arc to arc could be a little quicker. Their character is more sporting than playful, so they are aimed at more advanced skiers.”
