On-snow review

These are unquestionably skis with a strongly race-oriented character, as their large turn radius and narrow waist already suggest. Slender and unwilling to do much on their own, they become extremely effective in the hands of experienced pilots. On points they finished a whisker off the podium, but still took the bronze medal. Comments included: “Enjoyable instructor’s skis that deliver a great many satisfying turns. Stable, precise and encouraging you to put some effort in. This is simply what good skis should be, and I would confidently place them in that category and recommend them.” Another tester wrote: “They go like a jet-powered locomotive. They make the piste feel half as long and commandeer black runs. Magic! I feel as though I can drop the hip lower and ski with more commitment. They track long arcs with extraordinary precision and allow you to tighten them into medium-radius turns. They return the force you put into them superbly – although they do need a fair amount.” We also heard: “Wow, wow, wow! Phenomenal – as always, in a class of their own. Energy, smoothness and the confidence that they will not let you down. Superb for GS. You can race on them without hesitation. For technically strong and heavier pilots.” This was followed by: “They demand active skiing and more strength before you can load them properly. At higher speeds, however, they repay that input with stability and precise tracking. These skis make no attempt to disguise their character – they are sporty, uncompromising and never wilt, even under highly dynamic skiing.”

Tester’s take
“I want them. They define the GS category. Safe and predictable, yet dynamic too. You do not need to weigh 100 kilograms to steer them. Fantastic tracking: you say ‘there’ – and they obey.”
