On-snow review
A classic of the genre. These skis – continuously updated, of course – have been with us for a very long time. They are not heavy, highly demanding GS skis with little sidecut, but rather more approachable skis with more sidecut and a thoroughly race-oriented construction. This time, we tested them in the longest available length. Comments included: “Very pleasant skis for long turns on well-groomed pistes. They hold an edge securely. They work in the gates too. Their stiffness is just right.” Another tester wrote: “These skis are closer to race-oriented Cross-Turn models than to Masters GS skis. They pull hard into tighter arcs and are not entirely rock-solid at higher speeds. Ideal for »Polish-style« GS courses.” We also heard: “The wide tips pulled aggressively into the turns, which bothered me because I struggled with the timing of turn initiation. They engage the edges very aggressively, but are less dynamic than the other skis in the group.” This was followed by: “Very turny, which makes them lose some smoothness and flow in longer arcs. Stable on steep sections and when skied on edge. Quite dynamic.”
“A very pleasant surprise. I did not want to hand these skis back because they delivered that overall sense of fun without much of a fight. They deliver a satisfying rebound out of the turns.”
