On-snow review

The fashion for graphics borrowed from the 1960s is thriving – and rightly so, because these skis are exceptionally handsome. Among the most deeply sidecut skis in the group, they have a distinctly slalom-like character. Most testers liked them. Comments included: “The distinguished appearance promises comfortable skiing, and that is exactly what they deliver. Easy and pleasant, with a touch of sporting character. They adapt superbly to the snow. Strong edge grip and stable through whatever turn radius you choose. Solid, composed and predictable.” Another tester wrote: “Clearly designed for hard pistes, yet they still delivered plenty of enjoyment at the end of the day on heavily chopped-up snow. Remarkably secure and easy to steer. They turn willingly and are effective in short turns. I needed a moment to understand them, but after that we shared several beautiful moments.” We also heard: “Excellent skis! A fine first pair with genuine sporting character. On edge they behave like very good fun-carvers, providing fantastic support through medium and short arcs. Their grip on hard snow is respectable.” Less satisfied testers wrote: “They initiate easily, but feel very delicate. I lack full confidence in their edge hold through the turn. They return energy nicely at the end of each arc – like a spring. A good choice for someone learning clean carved turns and how to drop the hip. Suitable for intermediates.” And: “Fairly nervous at higher speeds and not especially stable. The tips have a tendency to chatter slightly.”

Tester’s take
“A solid offering from Rossignol. Ideal in medium-radius arcs. Exceptionally stable and secure in their tracking. Intended for well-groomed pistes and capable of delivering high comfort even at greater speeds.”
