On-snow review

Number one in the group on points. These skis have delighted our testers for several seasons, and the lightly updated version for the coming winter continues to impress through its versatility. Relatively long, with a short turn radius and a narrow waist. Rather strange – and magnificent. Comments included: “A very interesting construction. They ski superbly, surprising with their agility and confidence on edge. They insist on shorter arcs.” Another tester wrote: “Highly versatile. The beautifully judged flex provides secure edge grip on freshly groomed, hard morning snow and on a slightly chopped-up piste, in both wide and tight turns. Click in and they behave exactly as expected. Great fun. They also make skidded turns effortlessly, so they will cope in more difficult conditions.” We also heard: “How accessible and easy they are! Their length does not stop them skiing in any way you choose: big arcs, little arcs, skidded turns or a tremendous charge at full speed. Nothing frightens them. They need only a reasonably smooth piste, and then the fun begins. Pure skiing pleasure – endorphins and a permanent grin.” This was followed by: “Mega fun. They change edges in the blink of an eye. I felt as though I had a powder keg beneath my feet – an explosion of energy. You have the impression that they chase the next turn by themselves. Despite measuring only 66 mm underfoot, they were surprisingly secure even in soft snow.” Another tester added: “Attention! We may have found the benchmark for sheer enjoyment in this group. Despite their low weight, they are extraordinarily stable and secure in every turn, long or short. Effortless and genuinely versatile. They will ski any radius and move from edge to edge as quickly as you wish. They look beautiful too.” Finally: “Among the best. Turny and dynamic, with excellent graphics.”

Expert view
“Superb skis for groomed pistes and lovers of pure carved arcs. Turny, agile and stable. A Plug & Play toy – click in and the enjoyment starts immediately. For good and advanced skiers. They are at their best in medium-radius carved turns.”
