Not a single test card carried a negative comment – a rare occurrence. Unsurprisingly, they achieved the highest points score. Unfortunately, we cannot award the gold medal because the submitted model is a true race ski from Salomon’s FIS Prime line, which would be unfair to the other brands. We still include it because it is simply outstanding. Comments included: “The best slalom skis I have ever used. Aggressive, confidence-inspiring and offering an enormous margin of safety. They move superbly from arc to arc. Fantastic through short turns, but excellent in longer ones too. Complete trust!” Another tester wrote: “The absolute top. Outstanding slalom skis with an unmistakably race-oriented character, yet they can still be great fun. Rebound at the highest level, combined with ideal stability. They turn easily, feel active and readily tighten the arc. Excellent in the gates, even through rutted holes. They provide control, enormous fun and great satisfaction.” We also heard: “Of all the consumer slalom skis, these come closest to FIS models. Salomon proves once again that it knows how to build excellent skis. Dynamic and stiff, yet turny and quick to initiate. The only pair on which I completed an entire badly rutted slalom without difficulty.” This was followed by: “You need to work, but they repay the energy you put in with interest. Naturally they demand hard snow. Precise, secure and dynamic.”
