On-snow review

The undisputed leader of the group – and not only this season. These skis achieved the highest score, and negative comments are nowhere to be found on the test cards. The women did stress, however, that this is a model for more accomplished skiers. Comments included: “Stöckli never disappoints. These feel like another level, as though equipped with power assistance or an afterburner. Fast but safe, because they are easy to control and track beautiful arcs. They practically move into the next turn by themselves and remain very stable in every condition. Trust the edges and let them run without using much effort – although you can add force, and then they repay you with real energy.” Another tester wrote: “Skis with a sporting character. Fast, with exceptional edge grip on well-groomed, frozen pistes. They are stiff, so in soft conditions you feel them in the knees. For advanced women who can set them decisively on edge and give them a firm stomp.” We also heard: “It is impossible to say anything bad about these skis. They simply cut through the piste in every condition: soft snow, hard snow, bumps – it makes no difference. You retain one hundred per cent control, yet they are responsive without demanding a wrestling match.” This was followed by: “Stiff and heavy for this category. They provide an excellent platform on edge, but need speed and strength before they become truly enjoyable. Better on hard pistes. In soft snow they struggle a little.”

Tester’s take
“Phenomenal! Versatile across different turn lengths. Superb grip on hard snow. Very sporting. My favourites – the best skis in the women’s group.”
