These skis are the third generation of the celebrated Laser WRT ST, the model that helped define the race-inspired hybrid. Although development has made them slightly lighter than the second generation and reduced some of their race potential, they remain excellent. On points, they took third place. Comments included: “Very good and versatile skis. They carve both long and medium-radius arcs beautifully on edge. Good rebound and excellent stability at higher speeds. With firm pressure, they can also make extremely short turns. Great fun. I managed an entire black run on edge with full control.” Another tester wrote: “At last I understand what harmonious turn tracking means – these skis are masterful. They hold the arc securely without forcing it. If they could speak, before the descent you would hear: ‘My friend, I know what is good for you, so let me guide you.’ They are easy to steer on both hard and soft snow.” We also heard: “Exceptionally secure and stable, yet you do not have to give one hundred per cent on every run. You can ski them at half throttle. When the mood takes you, however, you can load them and charge. Phenomenal!” This was followed by: “Skis with an extremely pleasant level of stiffness, providing confidence and grip without nervousness. Smooth and highly versatile. They could serve as the only pair for skiers who remain exclusively on piste.” Another tester added: “Complete skis! Stable and dynamic, giving freedom and pleasure in both long- and short-radius arcs. Smooth and composed even at high speed.”
