These skis have been with us for many years in successive, continuously updated versions. They always rank near the top of the category, although this time they missed the podium by a whisker. They have a devoted following and a few opponents. Comments included: “For me, the best skis in the category. Very versatile and carrying a sporting edge. Exceptionally smooth on edge, with a strong sense of stability and comfort.” Another tester wrote: “Precise as a Swiss watch – ideal piste skis for intermediate and advanced skiers. Precision, comfort, control, rebound and build quality inspire complete trust from the first turn.” We also heard: “Excellent tracking on edge. Intuitive and great fun without requiring much effort. On hard snow they return the energy you put into them nicely. Intended for the piste; away from it, they do not perform well.” This was followed by: “Solid and secure. They cut a little like a blade but dislike changes of rhythm. They love speed and longer arcs, which they drive powerfully on edge. For this category I found them insufficiently friendly – more suited to strong, heavier skiers.” Another tester added: “Enjoyable, good and dynamic skis. Versatile. Effective in skidded and carved turns. You can load them firmly. They like speed and are intended mainly for piste use, although they work on both hard and soft snow. Among the most interesting in the group.” The grumblers wrote: “Their vibrating tips may induce motion sickness, although strangely this has no negative effect on the ride. They feel very stiff, and in soft conditions they demand active steering.”
