These skis are already very familiar to our testers, but for this season they have received new plates and bindings – and that changes the picture. The Blizzard WRC has consequently become a little more race-oriented. Together with the Head, it finished a whisker off the podium. Comments included: “Very pleasant skis that deliver plenty of enjoyment. Smooth and predictable, with excellent edge grip throughout the entire arc.” Another tester wrote: “Gentle GS skis that are easy to master. You know you have one hundred per cent control over them. Tightening the arc takes very little effort. The price you pay is slightly less energy return.” We also heard: “Excellent skis. Ideal for race-oriented skiing, in my view, because the turn radius is just right. The energy return is perfectly judged for me. A dream!” This was followed by: “Quite dynamic. They do not cost much energy and are eager to play. The graphics are attractive too.” Another comment read: “Very good turn initiation and a radius that can be modulated with ease. They have plenty of drive in long turns and power at the finish. Sporty skis, but versatile as well.” Finally: “Easy, light skis for piste skiing in varied conditions. They leave a positive impression apart from the level of confidence they provide through the arc at high speed. More demanding skiers may find them insufficiently dynamic between GS gates.”
