On-snow review

The Italian manufacturer’s skis divided our testers. The lighter skiers regarded them as enjoyable and distinctly sporty, while the heavier testers tended to place them closer to the All-Round category. Objectively speaking, they were among the shortest skis tested in the group. Comments included: “Very versatile GS skis with a relatively short radius. It is easy to squeeze tighter arcs out of them. Naturally, they are a little less stable at higher speeds.” Another tester wrote: “Excellent skis that made a very positive impression on me. Their edge grip is outstanding and you always feel completely in control. Skis for good skiers: if you know how to pressure them, you will get a great deal in return. Smooth and stable, they enter the turns very well and deliver a sense of exceptionally precise tracking.” From the other side, however, we heard: “You have to keep pushing these skis constantly – in other words, you must stay active. They are reluctant to initiate, stiff and difficult to bend through the turn. The tails straighten the arc. Very one-dimensional.” Another tester added: “Perfectly decent skis, but nothing special. Predictable, yet something is missing in every area. Very little energy return.”

Tester’s take
“Another excellent Blossom ski, this time in the consumer GS category. Stiff, dynamic and exceptionally secure on edge, even at high speeds. They deliver comfortable long turns on well-groomed, hard-packed pistes. They will work in the gates too.”
