On-snow review
Blossom’s skis, known for their sporting character, have only recently begun appearing in our test but have already attracted a sizeable group of enthusiasts. This particular model divided the team somewhat. Stronger and heavier skiers seemed to extract more pleasure from it. Comments included: “Excellent skis. Quite stiff, although comfortable skiing does not require huge physical strength. Turny and apparently fairly dynamic. Very good for race-style skiing in the gates.” Another tester wrote: “Fantastic initiation, followed by smooth and stable tracking through short carved arcs. They have power, but demand power in return.” We also heard: “The skis feel extremely stiff, but that gives them outstanding grip. Very obedient. I can feel substantial potential here. For skiers who want to play at race-style skiing.” Others also observed: “Competent and relatively easy. They lack spring, so their energy return is weak. For recreational short-turn enthusiasts rather than racers.” And: “Pleasant skis that do not particularly stand out. They lack some rebound, which prevents the ride from being completely satisfying. On the other hand, they are smooth and comfortable. Stability through the arc is good and the edges grip superbly. Predictable – they will not surprise you with an overly violent release. You can carve genuinely tight turns on them with confidence.”
“Elegant and agile skis. They return energy nicely and feel quite dynamic and nimble. Excellent on steep pitches and ideally suited to race-style skiing. Recommended for strong skiers who enjoy speed.”
