On-snow review

We are watching Dynamic’s return to skiing’s top table with admiration. This model appeared in our test for the second time and, for the second year running, inspired real enthusiasm. It finished second on points, although many testers considered it magnificent but demanding. Comments included: “Among the most race-oriented skis in the group – perhaps the most race-oriented of all. If you enjoy aggressive, active skiing through medium-radius turns and possess the technique to tame these beasts, they are just the ticket. Stable, dynamic and utterly secure through the turn. They accelerate through the arc, so take care not to be left in the back seat. No mistakes forgiven!” Another tester wrote: “Incredible skis! Dynamic has shown its class once again. Super-dynamic, yet extremely stable and smooth. They run as if on rails, even on a piste that is not perfectly even. Their character is thoroughly sporting. They are exceptionally turny and let you ski steep pitches confidently on edge. Huge fun.” We also heard: “Stable and good to steer, and the name promises energy – with considerable justification.” This was followed by: “They feel heavy and stiff in the hand, but once you build speed, you disappear into carving heaven. Precise arcs, rapid edge changes, grip… everything is highly enjoyable, and you certainly do not need to weigh 100 kilograms or use every ounce of strength.” Another tester added: “This is not Dynamic – it is dynamite! You need technique and courage. They are secure through the turn, highly dynamic and let you ski flat out while retaining control. These are not skis for piste-scrapers. Afraid of GS skis? Take these instead!” Two grumblers thought they were slightly too cumbersome…

Tester’s take
“The best skis in the hybrid category. They combine the finest qualities of slalom and GS skis. Excellent both in quicker turns and in GS arcs. Stiff and springy, with superb energy return from everything stored through the turn.”
