On-snow review

Dynamic appeared in our test last year and immediately won the hearts of the team. Hardly surprising, because the build quality is matched by the on-snow performance. This model placed third on points and was regarded by many as the most sporting ski in the category. Comments included: “They share their geometry with the VR Evolution from the hybrid category, but use a more supple construction. They initiate superbly, track smoothly and grip the selected arc fantastically. Admittedly, they favour medium and longer radii, but remain versatile enough for all-day use on well-groomed pistes. Ideal as a first genuinely sporting ski.” Another tester wrote: “Highly single-minded – almost perfect in carved arcs. They track them with stability and return exactly as much energy as you put in. Give them a kick and they catapult you into the next turn. They devour pistes without hesitation. Unfortunately, all this costs considerable effort, and Dynamic skis are no great fans of skidding.” We also heard: “The most GS-like skis in the category. Slender and narrow underfoot, with a noticeably powerful construction. They can go fast – and in long carved arcs, very fast indeed. Their geometry makes transitions rapid, while the construction filters irregularities and cuts through piles. In skidded and short turns they are smooth and do not demand much strength. You decide whether you want to exhaust yourself or not. Noble skis.”

Tester’s take
“Among the most dynamic skis in the group and tremendous fun. They throw themselves into the turn, then track it beautifully and with complete stability. Drop the hip and wait for the energy to return – hop, and you are flying into the next arc. To make all this work, you must ski actively. I could personally ride them all day.”

On-snow review

Dynamic’s engineers are working extremely hard – and they have little choice if the brand is to make a successful return to the market. This is the women’s version of the ski causing such a stir in the All-Round category. These made an equally strong impression, although our female testers regarded them as fairly demanding. Comments included: “I have decided to buy them. They literally read my mind and execute every instruction perfectly. It is not merely that switching from sporting to recreational skiing and back again is easy. They also change rhythm and turn radius without difficulty. They simply fit me so well that I can barely feel them. And there is something else: huge energy return for this category.” Another tester wrote: “Definitely demanding skis. They need decisive pressure and active input, but repay it with excellent tracking. More for advanced women who are at least confident on red pistes. Anyone who enjoys longer arcs and greater pace will be satisfied.” We also heard: “Dynamic by name and dynamic by nature. Agile and enjoyable, suitable for all-day skiing from frozen morning snow to heavy afternoon firn.” This was followed by: “A women’s ski distinguished by an exceptionally sporting character. You can feel that it wants a well-groomed piste and the full range of turn lengths. These skis do not fit within the normal limits of the women’s group – they rise above it. Sporty, yet not brutally demanding: a little pressure is enough to make them come alive. Outstanding.”

Tester’s take
“Wonderful and demanding skis! Not for tired legs, but how beautifully they ski. Despite their weight, they are easy to steer. Springy and supple, although they will not shorten the turn by themselves. These ladies will satisfy more than one man.”
