On-snow review

Made in Poland – and that alone makes us warm to them. Most of our testers were pleasantly surprised by their performance, although opinions differed on precisely where they belong. The graphics are extraordinary. Comments included: “A very positive surprise – and I admit that I normally react badly to skis with a wood-veneer look, so this really was unexpected. They are very well balanced between short and long turns, extremely friendly and eager to play.” Another tester wrote: “Sensational! Outstanding skis! Built in a workshop in Wisła, they have everything you could ask for. Step onto them and every arc, every turn, comes with precision and exactly the right amount of energy. Perfect and beautiful.” We also heard: “Narrow and fairly supple. Very enjoyable because they change rhythm quickly. Extremely secure, with tremendous grip. The overly aggressive base structure creates a slight drag from one turn to the next.” This was followed by: “Very pleasant skis for the whole day. Fairly dynamic and they track the arc as they should. They may lack a little race-bred bite, but that does not detract from their usefulness. The graphics will appeal to many.” Another tester added: “Incredible in medium-radius turns. Elegant to look at and superb to ski.” Then came: “I needed time to adapt, but they are very stable. They drive strongly through the arc and generate plenty of pull. They need precise steering, but offer a genuinely sporting character.” We also heard: “Executive skis. Their character is a long way from that of a true race-inspired hybrid, but they are ideal for a highly accomplished skier over fifty who wants to look stylish without exhausting himself. They look elegant and ski the same way. At higher speeds, however, they lose some confidence.” And: “Pleasant skis with good drive, but too little rebound for my taste and slightly restless tips.”

Tester’s take
“Quick turn initiation and very stable, smooth tracking. Excellent across a broad range of radii, although they are most enjoyable in medium and long turns. They have real drive! Just a little cumbersome in short turns.”
